Michele Goldman-Ranger, LCSW-C

I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in individuals and couples. I graduated from St. Joseph's University in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in sociology. I then received my masters degree in 2018 from Adelphi University. I have gained my experience in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient. I worked in children's services in New York, in an outpatient setting providing mental health and case management services to children and families. I also worked in the emergency department at a level 1 trauma center, providing support to patients and families experiencing a multitude of challenges, some of which included: end of life, homelessness, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. Currently, I work with an inpatient psychiatry team providing clinical support and an array of services to patients and families.

I specialize in couples counseling (level 1 and 2 Gottman trained), premarital, life transitions and anxiety.

I believe the first step in helping is listening. I work to establish a strong rapport and hear from the individual or couple what their current strengths and challenges are to better understand the entire picture. I really enjoy helping individuals and couples who are at varying stages of their lives and relationships. I believe that a trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of success. I offer a safe, warm, non judgmental and respectful place for healing.
